Browser does not support passkeys The whole section collapses to one sentence: Your browser does not support passkeys. Use Password, and turn on Two Factor Authentication if you can. Try a current desktop Chrome, Edge, or Safari if you expected passkeys to appear. There is no “force enable” control. Browser supports passkeys Heading is either You have not set up any passkeys yet. or You have passkeys enabled. Instructions: When a passkey is set up, you can sign in by verifying your identity with your device using your fingerprint, face, or PIN. No password needed. Add passkey reveals: - Device name — placeholder e.g. MacBook Pro, iPhone 15. The app guesses a name (Windows PC, Mac, iPhone, …). Rename it to something you will recognise. - Register passkey — first Confirm Password (For your security, please confirm your password to continue., field Password, Confirm / Cancel), then the browser passkey prompt. - Cancel closes the add form. Each stored passkey shows the name, Added on 21 August 2026, then Last used 21 August 2026 or Never used. Remove (password confirm again) deletes that device. Errors you may see: - This device is already registered as a passkey. - Passkey registration was cancelled. - Something went wrong registering your passkey. When 2FA is already on and you display the QR again: Two factor authentication is now enabled. Scan the following QR code using your phone's authenticator application or enter the setup key. Recovery codes (do this immediately) As soon as 2FA is on, the page shows: Store these recovery codes in a secure password manager. They can be used to recover access to your account if your two factor authentication device is lost. Under that is a list of one-time codes. Copy them before you close Settings. Store them offline as well as in the password manager. Each code works once. Later: - Show Recovery Codes — password confirm, then the list again (when the list is hidden). - Regenerate Recovery Codes — password confirm, then a new list. Old codes stop working the moment new ones appear. Update the password manager in the same sitting. If you lose the phone and the codes, support cannot read the old codes back. You will be locked out. Disable Disable (danger button) with password confirm. Status returns to You have not enabled two factor authentication. Each row shows platform and browser (or Unknown), the IP address, and either This device or Last active 1 hour ago (the relative time the app prints). Log Out Other Browser Sessions The button opens a modal with the same title Log Out Other Browser Sessions. Body: Please enter your password to confirm you would like to log out of your other browser sessions across all of your devices. Field placeholder: Password. Footer: Cancel, or Log Out Other Browser Sessions again to confirm. Success next to the button: Done. This device stays signed in. Other listed sessions die. Organizations and members
You are always a person with a Personal workspace. An organization is a separate team workspace. Traffic Chart creates the organization; you join it by invitation. There is no Create organization button in the app. Invitation email, Join Acme Events, accept/decline, and Invite member: Join an organization. This page is what happens after you are in: roles, Protected, Activity, Assign editor, Move vs Copy. Personal vs organization | | Personal | Organization | |---|----------|----------------| | Library title | My traffic plans | Acme Events traffic plans (organization name plus traffic plans) | | Who sees the plans | You | Everyone with access to that workspace | | Who can edit | You (the owner of those personal plans) | Only the assigned editor for that plan | | Credits | Your personal credits (when shown on Settings) | The organization’s pool | | Event plans | Depends on your account | Depends on that workspace (the tab can say Not enabled for Acme Events.) | Plans belong to a workspace, not “whoever clicked create”. Attribution still records who created and updated them. Switch workspace 1. Click your initials and first name. 2. Under Switch workspace, choose Personal or Acme Events. 3. That opens Plans for that workspace. The last workspace you opened is remembered. New plans from Home go there. If Demo traffic plan “vanished”, you are probably still on Personal. The sliders next to Switch workspace are Organization settings. If a row is greyed out you will see why: This workspace is not currently available., Your membership is suspended, Organization suspended, Workspace not enabled yet, or Organization unavailable. Public share links can still open; the private workspace cannot. Workspace unavailable. Settings: Account vs Organizations Settings → Account is your login, language, and security. Settings → Organizations (or Organization settings): Organizations list with Open workspace and Members & access - One organization: you land on that org’s members page (Manage Acme Events). - Several: a list titled Organizations — Open workspace and, if you are Owner or Administrator, Members & access. - None: No organizations yet / Organizations you join will appear here. The Organizations tab can look disabled: You are not a member of an organization. How you get an organization An Owner or Administrator sends Invite member. You receive Invitation to join Acme Events. Open View invitation, sign in or Create account as the invited email, verify, then Accept invitation. Then Switch workspace. Full landing-page branches: Join an organization. Roles There is no Manager role. Ownership is granted after join, never via the invite form. | Role | Typical powers | |------|----------------| | Owner | Invite Members and Administrators; Change role (including making someone Owner); suspend or remove people; Billing when it is shown; Assign editor. The last active owner is Protected. | | Administrator | Invite Members only; suspend or remove Members only; Assign editor; Billing when it is shown. Cannot invite other admins or transfer ownership. | | Member | See all organization plans; create plans (you become the assigned editor); edit only plans assigned to you; spend existing org credits on those plans if billing allows. No invites, no Activity, no Billing. | Members table Manage Acme Events opens on Members — People with access to this organization. Columns: Person, Role, Status, Joined. Pending invites sit in the same table on amber rows (Invitation pending, Pending, Expires 28 Aug 2026). Your own row is marked You. The row menu is Manage that person’s name. Actions you are allowed to use: - Change role — dialog Change Alex’s role. Pick Owner, Administrator, or Member. Help: Only owners can assign organization ownership or administrator access. Save. Toast Role updated. - Suspend access — Suspend member access: Suspend access for Alex? They will immediately lose organization access until restored. Then Suspend access. Toast Member access suspended. Their Switch workspace row reads Your membership is suspended. - Restore access — on a suspended row. Toast Member access restored. - Remove — Remove member: Remove Alex from this organization? They will immediately lose organization access. Toast Member removed. Plans stay with Acme Events. - Leave organization — Leave Acme Events? You will immediately lose access, but its plans remain owned by the organization. Toast You left the organization. Invite member is documented in Join an organization: Email address, Role, Send invitation, then Resend / Revoke on the pending row. Protected last owner An organization must keep at least one active Owner. On that person’s row, instead of a menu, you see Protected. Hover/title: The last active owner cannot be changed or removed. That person cannot: - Leave organization - Change role away from Owner - Suspend access themselves - Remove themselves Promote a second owner first (Change role → Owner → Save). Then the first owner can leave or step down. Until then, Protected is not a bug. Suspending the last owner is also blocked. Restore or add another owner before you restructure the team. Activity Activity sits under Members on Manage Acme Events. Owners and administrators see it. Members do not. Title: Activity. Description: A plain-language history of changes in this workspace. Empty: No activity yet / Invitations, member changes, plans and folders will appear here. When there is history, rows group under Today, Yesterday, or a calendar day. Each line is a sentence, for example: - Alex invited a new member as Member. - Alex accepted the invitation and joined the workspace. - Alex assigned Sam to “Demo traffic plan”. - Alex transferred “Demo traffic plan” into the workspace. - Alex transferred the folder “Utrecht festival” into the workspace (3 plans). Actors can also read Traffic Chart administrator, Former user, or System. Filters (they apply as you type): - Search — placeholder Search activity… - Type: All activity, People & access, Plans, Folders, Organization - Performed by: Everyone, plus people, Traffic Chart administrator, System, Former user - Clear filters if nothing matches (No activity matches these filters.) At the bottom: Showing 25 of 80 activities (your numbers), Load older activity, and Load per batch 10 / 25 / 50. Use Activity when someone asks “who moved Demo traffic plan?” or “who invited Alex?”. It is not a billing invoice. Filters, empty states, and every sentence type: Organization activity. Who can edit a plan (Assign editor) In Acme Events, everyone with access can open the plan. Only the assigned editor can change, duplicate, or delete it. Other members get a read-only editor. The library can show Editor: Sam. Creating a plan in the organization makes you the assigned editor. Owners and administrators use the plan menu → Assign editor. Dialog title: Assign an editor to “Demo traffic plan”. Body: Choose the one active member who can edit this plan. Owners and administrators can change the assignment later. Field: Assigned editor, starting with Choose an editor. Only Active members are selectable. If the current editor is suspended, that option is listed disabled as Sam (membership inactive). Save assignment (while it runs: Saving…). Toast Editor assignment updated. Cancel leaves it unchanged. If the editor is suspended, the plan stays, but nobody can edit until someone reassigns it. Leaving the organization does not delete organization plans. Checkout and Spend credit also require edit access. An owner who is not the editor cannot pay on a colleague’s plan. Reassign, then pay. Failure toast: The editor assignment could not be updated. Move, copy, and assign in full: Move, copy, and assign editor. Move vs Copy (personal plan into Acme Events) From Personal Plans, open the plan menu → Move to organization. Dialog title: Move “Demo traffic plan” to an organization. If you belong to more than one organization, first Destination organization — Choose an organization. Until you pick one: First choose which organization this should go to. A single organization is pre-selected. Then How should it go? Move (Recommended) Leaves your Personal workspace. Same public link. The organization becomes the owner. Button: Move plan (while it runs: Moving…). Toast Plan moved to Acme Events. Use this when Acme Events should own the live URL that stakeholders already have. Copy Keep the plan in Personal. The organization gets a separate plan with a new public link. Button: Copy plan (Copying…). Toast Plan copied to Acme Events. Use this when you want a team version and a private original. The two plans will drift. Under review — move unavailable If municipality review is active on that plan, Move is disabled. The notice is Under review — move unavailable: Plans with an active municipality review stay in Personal. You can still copy this plan into an organization if you need a separate version. You cannot Move until review finishes. Copy is still allowed. You cannot move an organization plan back to Personal, or from Acme Events to another organization. Errors: The plan could not be moved to that organization. / The plan could not be copied to that organization. Folders: Move to organization On a Personal folder, Move to organization is move-only (no copy mode). Title: Move folder “Utrecht festival”. Body: Move this folder and its plans into an organization workspace. Folder structure is recreated there. A summary counts Will move, Subfolders, Stay personal. Plans under review stay in Personal: Plans under review stay personal. Copy those individually if you need organization versions. - Empty folder: This folder has no plans. The folder structure will still be moved to the organization. You can still Move folder. - Every plan under review: Every plan in this folder is under review, so nothing can be moved. Copy individual plans if you need organization versions. Move folder stays disabled. Toasts: Moved 4 plans to Acme Events, Folder moved to Acme Events, or Moved 4 plans to Acme Events. 2 stayed in Personal (under review). Credits and billing Members spend credits that are already on the organization. Buying packages or starting checkout is for an Owner, Administrator, or the billing account holder — and only on a plan they can edit. The Billing page on the organization is for owners and admins when that organization actually shows Billing. If you do not see Billing, credits may still be handled the older way by Traffic Chart for your team. Do not assume a package catalogue exists. Details: Billing, free use, and credits, Pay or spend a credit, Organization billing. If a plan or workspace is missing 1. Switch workspace. 2. Open Plans (not only Home — Home is recent items for the current workspace). 3. In an organization, confirm you are the assigned editor if you expected to edit. 4. Event plans have their own tab. More: My plan does not appear in the list, I can’t open or edit a plan, and Workspace unavailable. Join an organization
This page is the invitation email, the Join Acme Events landing page, and the owner flow that sends the invite. Use it when someone asked you to join a team workspace, or when you are an Owner or Administrator sending Invite member. Skip it if you only need to change a role or assign an editor — that is Organizations and members. Symptom-only unblock after View invitation: I cannot accept an organization invitation. You cannot create an organization yourself. There is no Create organization button. Traffic Chart creates the organization. You join it by invitation. What an organization is You always have a Personal workspace. That library is My traffic plans. It is private to you. An organization is a separate team workspace. For Acme Events, the library title is Acme Events traffic plans. Everyone with access can open the plans. Only the assigned editor for a plan can change it. Joining does not merge the two libraries. Demo traffic plan that you drew in Personal stays in Personal until you Move or Copy it. After you accept, you still have to Switch workspace before you see Acme Events. When you need this - You received Invitation to join Acme Events. - An owner said you should already be on the team, but Switch workspace still only lists Personal. - You are the owner sending access to a colleague. You do not need this to share a read-only link. A public link is not membership. What the email looks like The subject is Invitation to join Acme Events (the organization name). The body says: - You have been invited to join Acme Events as Member. (or Administrator) - This invitation expires on the date and time shown. - A button: View invitation - If you were not expecting this invitation, you can ignore this email. Open View invitation on the same device and browser you will use for Traffic Chart. The link is unique. Do not forward it as a way to add extra people — each invite is one email address. Invites expire after 7 days unless an owner clicks Resend. A resent invite is a new link with a new expiry. The old link stops working. If you were not expecting the mail, ignore it. You do not have to decline. The invitation landing page View invitation opens a page whose browser title is Organization invitation. The heading is Join Acme Events. The invitation is always tied to one inbox. Treat that as This invitation was sent to that address, not to whoever happens to be logged in. The summary line on the page looks like Invited as Member for alex@acme-events.test · expires 28 August 2026. That is the lock: role, email, expiry. The page has a language control in the corner. Use it if the rest of the app is already in another language. What you can do next depends on four facts: whether the invite is still Pending, whether Acme Events is active, whether you are signed in, and whether you are signed in as the invited email with a verified address. Read the branch that matches the screen. Do not skip to Accept invitation if that button is not there yet. You are not signed in The page explains: Sign in with the invited email address, or create an account with that address, to continue. Two buttons: 1. Sign in to accept — opens Log in. The invited email is filled in. Use Password, optionally Remember me. If you use a passkey on this account, Sign in with passkey may also appear. 2. Create account — opens Create account with the invited email filled in. Enter Full name, Password, Confirm password, accept the terms, and submit. Use the invited email. A second personal inbox will look signed in, then block you on Use the invited account. Forgot the password? On Log in, use Forgot your password? Finish the reset, then open View invitation again. After login or register, Traffic Chart brings you back to Join Acme Events. If the new account is not verified yet, you land on the verification branch next. You are signed in as the wrong account The heading is Use the invited account. The help text names both addresses, for example You are signed in as roy@example.com, but this invitation belongs to alex@acme-events.test. Click Sign in with another account. That signs you out and returns you to this invitation. Then Sign in to accept or Create account with alex@acme-events.test. Do not ask the owner to change the invite to “whatever account I have open”. They can Revoke and send a new Invite member to a different email if that is really what you need. Your email is not verified The heading is Verify your email address. The help text is Your account email must be verified before you can accept this invitation. Click Go to email verification. That is the Verify your email address screen: We sent you an email. Open your inbox and click the verification link to continue. If nothing arrived, Send verification email again. You can Change email address or Sign out from that page if the address is wrong. Verification mail subject is also Verify your email address. The button in that mail is Verify email address. After the address is verified, return to View invitation. Accept invitation appears only when the session is the invited, verified account. Expired verification links say This link has expired. Request a new one, then come back to the invitation. Details: Email verification and login problems. Accept the invitation When the invite is Pending, Acme Events is active, and you are the invited verified user, the primary button is Accept invitation. While the request runs it reads Accepting... Click it once. Wait. If it succeeds, you are taken to Plans. A status message confirms the invitation was accepted. Accepting does not switch the workspace. The last workspace you used is still selected, which is often Personal. You will still see My traffic plans and none of Acme Events’ work. Do this immediately: 1. Click your initials and first name. 2. Under Switch workspace, choose Acme Events. 3. Plans retitles to Acme Events traffic plans. If Acme Events is greyed out, read the reason on the row: This workspace is not currently available., Your membership is suspended, Organization suspended, Workspace not enabled yet, or Organization unavailable. Public share links can still open. The private workspace cannot until that reason is fixed. Workspace unavailable. New plans you start from Home go to the workspace you last opened. If you skip the switch, Demo traffic plan is created in Personal and your colleagues will not see it. Decline the invitation Decline invitation sits under the accept action whenever the invite is still Pending. Guests can decline. You do not have to sign in first. The first click does not decline yet. The page asks Decline this invitation? The organization can send you another invitation later. - Cancel — back to the invitation, still pending. - Decline invitation (the red confirm) — completes the decline. After a decline, the page shows Invitation declined and You will not be added to this organization. A declined invite cannot be accepted later. Ask an owner to send a new one if you changed your mind. They use Invite member again. A declined invite is no longer a pending row they can Resend. When the invitation cannot be used If the invite is no longer pending (and it is not the declined-success screen), you see an amber panel. The heading is This invitation is expired, This invitation is revoked, or This invitation is accepted — the status is written in lowercase after This invitation is. The help text is always Ask an organization owner or administrator to send a new invitation if you still need access. Typical causes: - More than 7 days passed, and nobody clicked Resend. - An owner clicked Revoke. - You (or someone on that email) already accepted. In that case Switch workspace is the fix, not a new invite. - You already declined. The dedicated declined screen appears first; a later visit can look unavailable. If Acme Events itself is not active, you get a different panel: Organization unavailable, with This organization is not currently active, so the invitation cannot be accepted. Sign-in will not help. The owner must ask Traffic Chart to reactivate the organization. Other blocks you may see as an error under Accept invitation: - The organization is not currently active. - This invitation has already been accepted. - This invitation has been revoked. - This invitation has been declined. - This invitation has expired. - This invitation was sent to a different email address. - Your email address must be verified before accepting an invitation. - This account is already a member of the organization. - This account already has an inactive membership. Ask an owner to reactivate it. “Already a member” means Switch workspace. “Inactive membership” means an owner must Restore access on Members; a second invite will not override a suspended row. Short table of the same blocks: I cannot accept an organization invitation. After you are in: what you can do Your Role is the one on the invite. Ownership is never granted through Invite member. An existing Owner can later Change role to Owner. | Role you joined as | What you can do on Acme Events | |---|---| | Member | Open all organization plans. Create a plan (you become its assigned editor). Edit only plans assigned to you. Spend an existing organization credit on a plan you can edit, when billing allows. If you belong to only one, you may land on that page directly. 4. The page title is Manage Acme Events. Join Traffic Chart Demo — Sign in to accept or Create account Join Traffic Chart Demo — Use the invited account when signed in as the wrong email Organizations list with Open workspace and Members & access On Members, click Invite member. The dialog title is Invite members. Description: Invite someone by email and choose the role they will receive after accepting. Fill in: - Email address — the address they will have to sign in with. - Role — Member, or Administrator if you are an Owner. Administrators do not see Administrator as an option. Then Send invitation. While it sends, the button reads Sending... Success is the toast Invitation sent. Cancel closes the dialog without sending. If that email is already on Members, the form errors with This user is already a member of the organization. You cannot choose Owner here. Ownership must be granted after they join. After they accept as Member or Administrator, use Change role. Help on that dialog: Only owners can assign organization ownership or administrator access. If Acme Events is inactive, invitations cannot be sent. Pending invites: Resend and Revoke Pending people appear in the Members table on an amber row. The name line is the email. Under it: Invitation pending. Role is what they will receive. Status is Pending. The date column shows Expires the date, for example Expires 28 Aug 2026. Open the row menu: - Resend — sends a fresh Invitation to join Acme Events with a new View invitation link and a new 7-day expiry. The old link dies. Toast: Invitation resent. - Revoke — opens Revoke invitation. Confirm: Revoke the invitation for alex@acme-events.test? That invitation link will stop working. Cancel or Revoke. Toast: Invitation revoked. Resend is the right fix for “they say the mail never arrived” and for “it expired”. Revoke is the right fix for the wrong email or a person who should not join. If send or resend fails, the app can toast The invitation could not be sent. or The invitation could not be resent. Check the address, wait, retry. If it keeps failing, email customer@traffic-chart.com. If there is nothing pending to list in a dedicated invitations view, the empty copy is There are no invitations to show. Worked example (Acme Events) Sam is an Owner on Acme Events. Alex is a contractor who still only has Personal. 1. Sam opens Manage Acme Events → Invite member. 2. Email address alex@acme-events.test, Role Member, Send invitation. 3. Alex’s inbox shows Invitation to join Acme Events. Alex clicks View invitation. 4. Heading Join Acme Events. Summary Invited as Member for alex@acme-events.test · expires 28 August 2026. 5. Alex is logged into a Gmail they use for festivals. The page says Use the invited account. Alex clicks Sign in with another account, then Sign in to accept with alex@acme-events.test. 6. The account is new: Verify your email address → Go to email verification → Verify email address in the mail. 7. Back on the invitation, Accept invitation. 8. Plans still shows My traffic plans. Alex opens Switch workspace → Acme Events. The library becomes Acme Events traffic plans. 9. Alex clicks Create plan, names it Demo traffic plan, and becomes the assigned editor. Sam can open it read-only until Sam uses Assign editor. If Alex had clicked Decline invitation, confirmed Decline this invitation? The organization can send you another invitation later., Sam would need a new Invite member. Resend would not be on a declined row. What good looks like You opened View invitation, signed in (or created an account) as the invited email, verified that email, clicked Accept invitation, then Switch workspace to Acme Events. Plans shows Acme Events traffic plans. Your row on Members is Active, with You next to your name. Organization activity
Activity is a plain-language history of changes in this workspace. It answers “who invited Alex?” and “who moved Demo traffic plan?”. It is not a billing invoice. Use it on Manage Acme Events when you are an Owner or Administrator. Skip it if you only need to change a role or send Invite member — that is Organizations and members. Members never see Activity. If you cannot open Members & access, you cannot open this log. Open Activity 1. Click your initials and first name. 2. Open Organization settings (the sliders next to Switch workspace), or Settings → Organizations. 3. Click Members & access for Acme Events. 4. The page title is Manage Acme Events. 5. Billing, free use, and credits
Credits section on the Account settings page still — paid plan after map ready Traffic Chart is free to try. Event plans are not billed. Traffic plans start on a free tier; when you need more capacity you unlock that plan with a credit or a card payment — or you draw inside a participating municipality. Prices always appear in the app at checkout. They can depend on country and currency. This page does not list amounts. The payment dialog (every branch, Payment status, guests): Pay or spend a credit. The organization Billing page (packages, GmbH vs B.V., portal): Organization billing. What is free Creating a traffic plan is free. Payment is asked when you place signs past the free allowance, not when you click Start planning. Event plans do not use credits. They can still be turned off for a workspace. The Event plans tab then reads Not enabled for Personal. (or Not enabled for Acme Events.). Workspace unavailable. Unpaid free-tier traffic plan in the editor (map loaded; no Paid badge) A public share link is view-only. Viewers are not asked to pay. Participating municipalities Some municipalities license Traffic Chart so organisers can draw freely there. - Placement looks up the municipality under the pin. - If the area is participating, eligible personal accounts can place unlimited signs there without paying for that placement. - If not, the free sign limit applies until the plan is unlocked. When the area is not participating, the paywall title uses the municipality under the pin, for example Utrecht is not yet participating. You may see Ask Utrecht to participate (a draft message to that municipality). Traffic Chart cannot force Utrecht to join. On organization workspaces that prompt is Cancel instead — org billing is separate. Acme Events does not unlock signs by emailing Utrecht from this dialog. Free sign limit (the 5-sign rule) Outside participating areas, unpaid traffic plans allow a limited number of signs that count toward the cap. That number is currently 5. Count every plate. A stack of three plates is three toward the five, not one pin. Bulk signs can use the whole allowance in one line. The sixth counting sign is when the payment dialog appears. Until then, keep drawing. Organization credit-pool workspaces often have no personal-style free allowance: you Spend credit (or you already have Unlimited sign placement on a subscription) before extra signs stay on the plan. Duplicating a paid plan starts a new unpaid plan. Demo traffic plan with a Paid badge, duplicated, is a new plan that must be unlocked again. Unlocking a traffic plan (Paid vs organization funding) Paying or spending a credit sets this traffic plan to unlimited signs. Other unpaid plans keep their own limits. A credit unlocks one traffic plan, not every plan on the account. Personal / legacy: the Paid badge In the personal and older flows you will see a Paid badge on that plan on Home and Plans. That badge means Demo traffic plan has unlimited signs. It is not a Pro licence. It is not organization membership. Plan list with Paid badge and free-tier plan highlighted Native organization funding: often no Paid badge On Acme Events, native organization billing does not always show the old Paid badge. The plan can still be funded from the organization account. The test is whether the next sign stays on the map, not whether the pill appeared. Do not start a second payment because the badge is missing. Personal workspace When placement is blocked you see the payment dialog. Full walkthrough: Pay or spend a credit. In short: 1. If you have credits — Spend credit. The plan is saved and unlocked. Toast Credit spent. 2. If you have none — Select a country, then Billing postal / ZIP code, then Checkout / Pay now (or Log in & Pay / Register & Pay if you were a guest). 3. Complete Stripe. Payment status confirms the credit and unlocks the plan. Personal credits also appear under Settings → Credits, except for some organisation-role accounts that hide that block on purpose. Organization workspace Credits shown in the dialog are the workspace pool, not your personal Settings → Credits. - If the pool has credits and you can edit the plan: Spend 1 credit to create new plan? / Spend credit. - If billing is not set up: Billing is not configured for this organization. Ask an organization administrator or Traffic Chart support to configure it. - If you cannot purchase: Only an organization owner, administrator, or billing account holder can purchase credits. Ask them to add credits to this workspace. Owners and admins who are not the assigned editor cannot start checkout on a colleague’s Demo traffic plan. Reassign the editor first, or buy from a plan you can edit. Buying a package for Acme Events is not this map dialog. When the organization shows Billing, owners use Choose a package and Continue to checkout (hosted Stripe). Members never see that page. Organization billing. If you do not see Billing, credits may still be handled the older way by Traffic Chart for your team. There is nothing to “turn on” from Settings. After you pay | Screen | Meaning | What to do | |--------|---------|------------| | Confirming your payment | Payment succeeded; unlock is applying | Wait; keep the tab open | | Payment successful | Plan ready | Open traffic plan | | Payment received, confirmation pending | Safe; confirmation is slow | Wait; do not pay again; Check again | | Payment failed | No credit used | Return to the plan and retry | | Plan unavailable | Plan missing; credit may remain | Check Credits / org Billing; contact support | | Could not apply automatically | Payment OK, unlock failed | Contact support before paying again | See Payment status after checkout, Payment succeeded but plan not unlocked, and the outcome-by-outcome table in Pay or spend a credit. Paying does not unlock every tool Unlimited signs on one plan is not the same as organization/PRO tools: - Bulk signs - Displace sign stack - XL export maps - Materials Excel - PDF preview Those show Pro feature (or similar) when your account cannot use them. Feature not available for my account. Practical tips - Prefer one browser tab for checkout. - Never start a second payment while the first is still processing. - Switch workspace before you pay. A Personal payment does not fund Acme Events traffic plans. - For sign limits while drawing, see I can’t place more signs. Related articles - Pay or spend a credit - Payment status after checkout - Organization billing - Workspace unavailable - I can’t place more signs - Payment succeeded but plan not unlocked
Pay or spend a credit
This page is the payment dialog on a traffic plan, every branch of that dialog, and every outcome on Payment status. Use it when you need unlimited signs on Demo traffic plan (or any other unpaid traffic plan) and the app is asking you to Spend credit or to pay. Skip it for event plans — they are not billed. Skip it if a tool is labelled Pro feature; that is not this paywall — Feature not available for my account. Prices always appear in the dialog and in Stripe. They can depend on country and currency. This article never lists an amount. If a sentence below refers to “the price shown”, look at the number the app printed, not at an old quote or this help page. Rules of the road: Billing, free use, and credits. Organization subscriptions: Organization billing. When this dialog appears Unpaid free-tier traffic plan in the editor (map loaded; no Paid badge) Utrecht is not yet participating — Spend credit or Ask Utrecht to participate Creating a traffic plan is free. Start planning does not charge you. The dialog appears when you place a sign past the free allowance on an unpaid plan, outside a participating municipality. Each plate in a stack counts. Bulk signs can consume the allowance in one line. Outside participating areas, unpaid personal plans currently allow 5 counting signs. After that, the map will not keep the next pin until you unlock the plan. Typical titles: - Utrecht is not yet participating — personal (or non–credit-pool) flow. The name is the municipality under the pin, not a generic area name. - Spend 1 credit to create new plan? — organization credit-pool flow (the workspace spends from a shared balance). - Sign limit reached — a different, shorter modal (You have placed the maximum number of signs.). That is not checkout. Unlocking Demo traffic plan unlocks that plan. Other unpaid plans keep their own limits. Duplicating a paid plan starts a new unpaid plan. You must be able to edit the plan. In Acme Events, only the assigned editor can spend or check out on that plan. Owners who are not the editor use Assign editor first, or open a plan assigned to themselves. I can’t open or edit a plan. Work in one browser tab. Never start a second payment while the first is still on Confirming your payment. Read the first screen before you click The dialog opens on the start step. The footer then offers one primary action that matches your situation, plus a way out. Personal workspace way out: Ask Utrecht to participate (the municipality under the pin). That opens a draft email to the municipality. Traffic Chart cannot force Utrecht to join. Organization workspace way out: Cancel. Organization billing is a different product. Do not email the municipality from this dialog. If you have credits, opening the dialog also saves the plan so the credit can attach to Demo traffic plan. If you go on to Checkout, the plan is saved again. Walk the branch that matches the body text. Do not invent a Pay now button when the app is offering Spend credit. Branch: you have a credit (personal) Title: Utrecht is not yet participating. Body includes: - You can use Traffic Chart for free in the number of participating areas shown. Since Utrecht is not part of these areas yet you are not allowed to place more than 5 signs for free. - You have 1 credit available. You can spend 1 credit to place an unlimited number of signs. (or 3 credits, matching the number on screen) Primary button: Spend credit. Click it once. Success toast: Credit spent. The plan is saved and unlocked. Place the sign again if it did not stay. Failure toast: Could not spend credit. Do not immediately buy a second credit. Refresh, confirm Settings → Credits still shows a balance, retry once. If the server says the balance is stale, the dialog reloads your account and workspace and returns you to this start step. Read the new number. Then Spend credit or, if the balance is now zero, continue with checkout. Branch: no personal credit — pay with a card Title still Utrecht is not yet participating. Same free-limit paragraph, then: Do you want to finish your traffic plan? For the price shown you can place an unlimited number of signs. You must fill billing location before checkout: 1. First select your billing country to proceed to the checkout: 2. Select a country — required. The list is a full country list. 3. After a country is chosen: Billing postal / ZIP code. 4. If the country is set but the postal field is empty: Enter your postal / ZIP code to continue to checkout. The field highlights. Checkout stays disabled until both are filled. Changing country clears the postal field. Fill it again. If Stripe cannot tax that location: Check your billing country and postal code and try again. Fix the pair. Do not guess a neighbour’s postcode. Logged in, no credits, location complete: the primary button is Checkout. That opens the in-app Stripe form (next section). It is not the organization hosted Checkout page. Branch: guest — Log in & Pay or Register & Pay You can draw a little without an account. Past the free cap, you still see Utrecht is not yet participating and the country + postal fields. You cannot Pay now as a guest. Complete country and Billing postal / ZIP code first. Then: - Log in & Pay - Register & Pay Log in & Pay changes the dialog title to Log in. Body: Log in to proceed to checkout and remove limitations. Footer: Don't have an account? Register, Forgot your password? (opens reset in a new tab), and Log in & Pay again to submit. Register & Pay changes the title to Register. Body: Register to proceed to checkout and remove limitations. Footer: Already have an account? Log in, and Register & Pay to submit. After a successful login or register, the dialog moves to Checkout by itself. The plan is saved. Complete Stripe there. Use the account that should own Demo traffic plan. Paying on a colleague’s login puts the credit on that colleague’s personal balance. Checkout step (in-app Stripe) Dialog title: Checkout. Body: For the price shown you can place an unlimited number of signs. Stripe then loads two blocks: an email field (pre-filled with your account email when you are logged in) and the payment method tabs. Wait until both appear. A spinner shows while Stripe is preparing. When it is ready, Pay now becomes available. It stays disabled while the plan is saving, while Stripe is still loading, or if country + postal are missing. Click Pay now once. Stripe confirms the payment using the country and Billing postal / ZIP code you already entered. If preparation fails, you return to the start step with Payment could not be initialized. Please try again. or a more specific billing-location / organization message. Fix that. Do not open a second tab to pay “just in case”. For some countries Stripe may offer extra methods (for example iDEAL when the currency and billing country allow it). Pick what Stripe lists. Do not look for a method this article names if it is not on your form. Pay now leaves Traffic Chart for Stripe’s confirmation, then returns you to Payment status. Stay in that tab. Branch: organization credit pool — Spend credit Title: Spend 1 credit to create new plan? Body: By clicking 'spend credit' we will automatically deduct one credit from your account, and create a new traffic plan for you. You have 3 credits left. The number is the workspace pool, not Settings → Credits on your person. One credit reads 1 credit; more than one reads 3 credits (your number). If you can edit the plan and the pool has at least one credit: Spend credit. Toast Credit spent. The plan is unlocked on Acme Events. Native organization billing often does not show the old Paid badge. Try placing the sign. Unlimited placement on that plan is the test, not the badge. If spend fails: Could not spend credit, or a specific organization message below. Reload the plan. Check Billing if you are an owner. Buying more credits for a native organization is not this dialog. Owners use Billing → Choose a package → Continue to checkout. Members cannot purchase. See Organization billing. If the pool is empty, Spend credit is not offered. Checkout is also not offered in that credit-pool dialog. Cancel, then ask an owner to add credits, or open Billing yourself if you see that button. Branch: billing is not configured Organization workspace, no credit to spend, billing missing: Billing is not configured for this organization. Ask an organization administrator or Traffic Chart support to configure it. There is no Pay now here. Cancel. Ask an Owner or Administrator. If they also cannot see Billing, email customer@traffic-chart.com. Do not pay from your Personal workspace hoping it will unlock the Acme Events plan — it will not. Branch: you are not allowed to purchase Organization workspace, no credit to spend, billing exists, but you are not allowed to start a card payment: Only an organization owner, administrator, or billing account holder can purchase credits. Ask them to add credits to this workspace. Member is not enough. Being an Owner is not enough if you are not the assigned editor on Demo traffic plan — checkout still requires edit access. Assign editor, or spend from a plan assigned to you. The billing account holder is the person (or organization billing account) that actually owns the Stripe customer for this workspace on older setups. If you are not that person, you cannot complete this dialog even if you can draw. Branch: billing account changed mid-way The organization billing account changed. No credit was spent. Reload the plan and try again. Nothing left your balance. Close the dialog, reload Demo traffic plan, open it again, read the new start branch. Do not retry Pay now on a stale tab. The same text can appear as a toast after Spend credit if the account moved during the request. Payment status — every outcome After Pay now, the page title is Payment status. Read the heading, then the one button. Outcome-by-outcome, including Confirming your payment, Payment successful, Payment received, confirmation pending, Payment failed, and Payment needs attention: Payment status after checkout. Confirming your payment Your payment succeeded. We are now adding the credit and unlocking your traffic plan. A spinner. Keep the tab open. Do not click Back. Do not start a second checkout. This is the normal first screen while unlock applies. Payment successful Your payment was confirmed and your traffic plan is ready. Button: Open traffic plan. That returns you to Demo traffic plan. Place signs past the free cap. On personal/legacy flows you should also see a Paid badge on that plan in Plans / Home. Native organization funding may skip the badge; placement is still unlocked. Plan list with Paid badge and free-tier plan highlighted Payment received, confirmation pending Your payment is safe. Confirmation may take a moment; you do not need to pay again. Button: Check again. Wait, then click it. Do not pay a second time. Bank transfers and some methods confirm later than a card. Payment failed The payment was not completed and no credit was used. Return to your traffic plan to try again. Button is either Return and try again (back to the plan) or Open dashboard (back to Plans), depending on how the attempt ended. No credit was taken. You may retry from the plan. If Stripe returned you without a payment reference, you also land here. Open the plan and start checkout once more — that is a new attempt, not a double charge, because the first one did not complete. Payment needs attention — plan gone This traffic plan is no longer available. Any purchased credit remains on your account. Button: Open dashboard. Check Settings → Credits (personal) or organization Billing (workspace pool). The credit should still be there even if Demo traffic plan was deleted or you lost access. Contact support if the credit is missing. Do not buy another credit “to replace” it until you have checked. Payment needs attention — credit not applied The payment was confirmed, but the credit could not be applied automatically. Please contact support before paying again. Button: Email support. Write customer@traffic-chart.com before a second payment. Include account email, plan link or UUID, time (with timezone), and the Stripe receipt or last four digits. Payment needs attention — could not complete automatically We could not complete this payment automatically. Please contact support before trying to pay again. Same rule: Email support, do not retry checkout. Full recovery checklist: Payment succeeded but plan not unlocked. What paying does not do Unlimited signs on Demo traffic plan is the only thing this dialog sells. It does not turn on: - Bulk signs - Displace sign stack - XL export maps - Materials Excel - PDF preview Those still say Pro feature (or a similar gate) when your account cannot use them. It does not unlock every plan on the account. It does not move a Personal payment onto Acme Events. It does not replace municipal review or a legal permit. Participating municipalities (why you might not pay) If the pin is inside a participating municipality, eligible personal accounts can place unlimited signs there without this dialog. When it is not participating, the title uses that municipality: Utrecht is not yet participating. Ask Utrecht to participate drafts a message. Traffic Chart cannot make Utrecht buy a licence. Organization workspaces do not use that ask-to-participate button. They use Cancel, then the organization credit pool or Billing. Worked example (Utrecht, Demo traffic plan) You are drawing Demo traffic plan for a detour in Utrecht on Personal. The first five counting signs stayed. The sixth does not. 1. Dialog title Utrecht is not yet participating. 2. Body: You can use Traffic Chart for free in the number of participating areas shown. Since Utrecht is not part of these areas yet you are not allowed to place more than 5 signs for free. 3. You have no credits, so: Do you want to finish your traffic plan? For the price shown you can place an unlimited number of signs. 4. First select your billing country to proceed to the checkout: → Select a country → Netherlands. Then Billing postal / ZIP code. If you skip it: Enter your postal / ZIP code to continue to checkout. 5. Checkout. Title Checkout. Same price sentence. Stripe email + payment tabs load. Pay now. 6. Payment status → Confirming your payment → Payment successful → Open traffic plan. 7. The sixth sign stays. Plans shows Paid on Demo traffic plan. Other unpaid plans are still limited. Same plan on Acme Events, with three credits in the pool: title Spend 1 credit to create new plan?, body By clicking 'spend credit' we will automatically deduct one credit from your account, and create a new traffic plan for you. You have 3 credits left., button Spend credit, toast Credit spent. Footer is Cancel, not Ask Utrecht to participate. The Paid badge may not appear. Place the sixth sign anyway. Guest on Personal: after country + postal, Log in & Pay or Register & Pay, then the same Checkout / Pay now. What good looks like You placed the extra sign. It stayed. Save / Auto-save finished. On a personal plan you may see Paid. On Acme Events you can keep drawing even if the badge is missing. If you spent a credit, Settings → Credits (personal) dropped by one, or Available credits on organization Billing dropped by one. Practical tips - Prefer the same browser you already use for Traffic Chart. - Complete Select a country and Billing postal / ZIP code before hunting for Pay now. - Spend credit is cheaper in time than checkout when you already have a balance. Use it. - After Payment successful, use Open traffic plan in that tab. Do not hunt for a second copy of the plan on Home from another workspace. - If Home still lists the plan as Free, switch workspace, open Plans, and hard-refresh. Native org funding may never show Paid. If something blocks you | What you see | What to do | |---|---| | Dialog will not appear | You are under the free cap, in a participating municipality, or the plan is already funded | | Click does nothing / Plan is read-only | Log in; you are not the assigned editor; or review locked the plan | | Spend credit toast Could not spend credit | Refresh balance; do not double-pay | | Billing is not configured… | Owner / support, not a personal card | | Only an organization owner… | Ask them; or Assign editor if you are the owner but not the editor | | The organization billing account changed… | Reload the plan | | Confirming your payment for a long time | Wait; Payment succeeded but plan not unlocked | | Sign still limited after Payment successful | Hard-refresh; confirm workspace; contact support before paying again | Related: Billing, free use, and credits, Payment status after checkout, Organization billing, I can’t place more signs.
Payment status after checkout
Payment status is the return page after you pay for a traffic plan in Stripe. It is not the paywall dialog on the map. That dialog is Pay or spend a credit. Unpaid traffic plan in the editor before checkout — no Paid badge Payment status — Payment failed, Return and try again Use this when the browser left Demo traffic plan, you confirmed in Stripe, and you landed on a centred card titled Payment status. Skip it if you clicked Spend credit and never left the editor. Skip it for event plans — they are not billed. Stay in one browser tab. Never start a second payment while this page is still on Confirming your payment. The price is always the price shown in the app. This page does not list an amount. When you see this page You placed a sign past the free cap on an unpaid traffic plan, completed Checkout / Pay now, and Stripe sent you back. The page title is Payment status. Read the heading, then the one button. Do not click Back hoping to “cancel” a charge that already succeeded. Work as the same account that paid, in the same workspace. Unlock lands on that plan. It does not unlock every plan. It does not move a Personal payment onto Acme Events. Duplicating a paid plan starts a new unpaid plan. The Paid badge, when you see it, is Demo traffic plan only. Every outcome Confirming your payment Body: Your payment succeeded. We are now adding the credit and unlocking your traffic plan. A spinner. This is the normal first screen. There is no button here. Keep the tab open. Do not start checkout again. Do not close the window. When verification finishes, the card changes by itself. A toast can read Payment verified. Payment successful Body: Your payment was confirmed and your traffic plan is ready. Button: Open traffic plan. That returns you to Demo traffic plan. Place signs past the free cap on that plan. On personal and older flows you should also see Paid on that plan in Plans / Home. Organization funding from the workspace pool may skip the badge. Placement is the test, not the badge. Payment received, confirmation pending Body: Your payment is safe. Confirmation may take a moment; you do not need to pay again. Button: Check again. Wait, then click it. Bank transfers and some methods confirm later than a card. Do not open a second tab to pay “just in case”. That is how double charges start. Payment failed Body: The payment was not completed and no credit was used. Return to your traffic plan to try again. The button is either Return and try again (back to Demo traffic plan) or Open dashboard (back to Plans), depending on how the attempt ended. No credit was taken. You may retry from the plan, once. If Stripe returned you without a payment reference, you also land here. That first attempt did not complete. A toast Could not verify payment means the check failed. Read the card. Do not assume the money is gone. Payment needs attention — plan gone Title: Payment needs attention. Body: This traffic plan is no longer available. Any purchased credit remains on your account. Button: Open dashboard. Check Settings → Credits (personal) or organization Billing (workspace pool). The credit should still be there even if Demo traffic plan was deleted or you lost access. Do not buy another credit “to replace” it until you have checked. If the credit is missing, Contact support before paying again. Payment needs attention — credit not applied Title: Payment needs attention. Body: The payment was confirmed, but the credit could not be applied automatically. Please contact support before paying again. Button: Email support. That opens mail to customer@traffic-chart.com. Write before a second payment. Include account email, plan link or UUID, time with timezone, and the Stripe receipt or last four digits. Payment needs attention — could not complete automatically Title: Payment needs attention. Body: We could not complete this payment automatically. Please contact support before trying to pay again. Button: Email support. Same rule: do not retry checkout while you wait. Buttons at a glance | Button | When it appears | |--------|-----------------| | Open traffic plan | Payment successful | | Check again | Payment received, confirmation pending | | Return and try again | Payment failed, back to the plan | | Open dashboard | Payment failed (other path), or plan no longer available | | Email support | Credit could not be applied, or payment needs support | Toast after a good verification: Payment verified. Rules of the road Work in one tab. If Confirming your payment is still spinning, that tab is the payment. A second Pay now is a second attempt. Event plans never use this page. There is no event-plan checkout. Paid is unlimited signs on Demo traffic plan (the plan you paid for). It is not Pro tools. Bulk signs, Displace sign stack, XL, Materials Excel, and PDF preview stay gated when your account cannot use them. It does not replace municipal review. In-app Approved is still not a legal permit. If the card says success but the editor still blocks the sixth sign: Payment succeeded but plan not unlocked. Do not pay again. Sign-limit rules: Billing, free use, and credits. The dialog that started checkout: Pay or spend a credit. Worked example (Utrecht, Demo traffic plan) You are on Personal. The sixth sign on Demo traffic plan opened the paywall. You filled billing country and Billing postal / ZIP code, clicked Pay now, and completed Stripe. 1. You return to Payment status. 2. First heading: Confirming your payment. You wait. There is no Check again on this spinner. 3. Heading becomes Payment successful. Toast Payment verified. 4. Open traffic plan. The sixth sign stays. Paid is on this plan only. 5. You duplicate the plan later. The copy is unpaid. That is expected. If step 3 had been Payment received, confirmation pending, you would have clicked Check again and still not paid a second time. What good looks like Payment successful, then Open traffic plan. You can place signs past the free cap on that traffic plan. Other unpaid plans keep their own limits. You used one tab. You did not start a second checkout. If something blocks you | Situation | What to try | |-----------|-------------| | Spinner never ends | Keep the tab open. Organization billing
This page is Billing and credits for an organization such as Acme Events: identity, packages, hosted Stripe Checkout, the customer portal, and the banners that appear when a payment needs attention. Organization members page where Owners and Administrators open Billing Use it when you are an Owner or Administrator and the organization actually shows a Billing button. Do not use it as proof that every team has a self-serve catalogue. Many organizations still receive credits the older way, from Traffic Chart, without this page. Members never see Billing. Paying for a single traffic plan from the map is a different dialog: Pay or spend a credit. Sign limits and the Paid badge: Billing, free use, and credits. Honest scope: only when you see Billing Open Members & access for Acme Events (Organization settings, or Settings → Organizations → Members & access). The page title is Manage Acme Events. Billing is the button in the header, next to the organization name. It is shown only when native organization billing is turned on for this organization, and your role can view billing (Owner or Administrator). If the button is missing, stop. You are not in the wrong menu — this page is not enabled for Acme Events (or you are a Member). Credits may still exist in the workspace pool. Owners ask customer@traffic-chart.com rather than hunting for a hidden shop. The browser title on the billing screen is Billing for Acme Events. The heading is Billing and credits. Back to organization returns to Manage Acme Events. First load shows Loading billing information…. If it fails: Billing information could not be loaded. with Try again. Who can do what | Role | Billing button | Change identity / start checkout / open portal | |---|---|---| | Owner | Yes, when the page exists | Yes | | Administrator | Yes, when the page exists | Yes | | Member | No | No. They can still Spend credit on a plan they can edit if the pool has credits | | Billing account holder on older setups | May purchase in the map dialog | This Billing page is the native flow, not the legacy personal-card flow | Spending one credit on Demo traffic plan does not require this page. Buying a package does. Billing identity Until a Stripe customer exists, Billing identity is the form you fill in Traffic Chart. The section title is Billing identity. Description: Traffic Chart uses these details to route checkout to the correct legal entity. Your invoice address and VAT or tax ID are entered and managed securely in Stripe. Fields: - Full name — required. The person Stripe should address. - Company name (optional) — Acme Events’ trading name if you want it on the profile. Legal name and VAT still go into Stripe Checkout later. - Invoice email — required. Where invoices should arrive. This is not the same field as a member invitation. - Contracting country — required. Starts with Choose a country. Help under the country: Germany is billed by Traffic Chart GmbH. Other countries are billed by Traffic Chart B.V. Changing legal entity after checkout requires support. Save writes the profile. Toast: Billing profile saved. Validation errors sit under the field. If nothing is field-specific: The billing profile could not be saved. After save, Contracting entity shows the legal entity name that country selected, for example Traffic Chart B.V. or Traffic Chart GmbH. That is who you contract with. It is not a package name. Germany GmbH vs BV - Contracting country Germany → Traffic Chart GmbH. - Any other country → Traffic Chart B.V. Packages are sold per entity. If you save the Netherlands first, then later need Germany, you are changing legal entity. The UI warns you: Changing legal entity after checkout requires support. Do not treat Contracting country as a shipping preference you can flip after a subscription exists. Email support and wait. Before a subscription: Choose a package When there is a billing account but no current subscription, Choose a package is the main card. Eyebrow: Subscription. Title: Choose a package. Description: Choose the annual allowance that fits your organization. Checkout and payment are handled securely by Stripe. Each package card shows: - The package name as configured for your entity (the text in the app, not a name from this article). - A large number: either a credit count, or Unlimited. - Under that: credits per year, or Unlimited sign placement when the package has no credit cap. - A price, or Price shown at checkout when no unit amount is stored. - per year · Price excludes VAT. Applicable tax is calculated during checkout. - Continue to checkout (owners and admins). This help page does not list amounts, and it does not promise that Acme Events will see four packages. What you see is what Stripe has configured for your contracting entity. If a card has no number, read Price shown at checkout and continue; Stripe will print the amount. Blue note at the bottom of the package card: Purchasing for a business? In Stripe Checkout, enter the organization’s actual invoice address and select the business-purchase option to add its legal name and VAT or tax ID. Do that on the hosted Stripe page, not in Full name. Identity not complete yet If Contracting country is still empty, the package grid is replaced by: Save the billing identity and contracting country above to see the packages sold by the correct Traffic Chart entity. Save identity first. The package list depends on GmbH vs B.V. Empty catalogue If the country is saved but no packages come back: No packages are configured for this billing entity yet. That is a real state, not a loading glitch. You cannot invent a credit tile. Email customer@traffic-chart.com. Meanwhile the team cannot self-serve a subscription from this screen. Continue to checkout — hosted Stripe Continue to checkout does not open the in-app card form from the traffic-plan dialog. It redirects the browser to Stripe Checkout (hosted). Wait for the redirect. Complete payment there. Use the business-purchase option if you need legal name and VAT. You cannot run two overlapping subscriptions from this page. If Acme Events already has a subscription in Pending, Active, Payment grace period, Cancels at period end, or Suspended, starting another checkout fails. Manage the existing one instead. If Stripe is not configured for that package, the app can refuse with Checkout is unavailable because the Stripe billing configuration needs attention. Please contact Traffic Chart support. or the generic The billing action could not be completed. Stop. Contact support. Do not retry in a loop. After a successful hosted Checkout, return to Billing and credits. You should now see the subscription summary instead of Choose a package. Credits for a credit package appear on Available credits. An unlimited package shows Unlimited sign placement. After you subscribe The summary is three columns on wide screens: - Available credits — the workspace pool as a number. Members spend from this pool on plans they can edit. - Subscription — either Unlimited sign placement, or a number plus credits per year. - A status pill: Pending, Active, Payment grace period, Cancels at period end, Suspended, or Ended. Under that: Current period ends 21 Aug 2026. (the date Stripe stored). If a change is already scheduled, an amber line names the package code, for example A change to organization_unlimited is scheduled for the next period. You cannot shop a different tile on this page while a subscription exists. Use Manage subscription. Manage subscription (the same action is also labelled Open billing portal in product copy) opens the Stripe customer portal: Traffic Chart asks Stripe for a portal URL, then the browser leaves for Stripe. Use the portal for invoices, tax IDs, payment method, and cancel at period end. Do not use it to “browse upgrades” unless Traffic Chart has told you that path is enabled. Cancellation at period end is the supported plan change today. If there is no subscription at all, the copy No active subscription. applies — you should be looking at Choose a package instead of this summary. Invoice details after Stripe exists Once a Stripe customer exists, Full name, Company name (optional), Invoice email, and Contracting country become read-only in Traffic Chart. Instead you see: - Invoice address — line, postcode, city, country as Stripe has them. If none: Not available. - VAT / tax IDs — type and value, or Not available. - These details are synchronized from Stripe. Use the billing portal to change them; Traffic Chart keeps an audit history of updates. - Button: Edit invoice details in Stripe (same portal). Save is gone on this form once Stripe manages the customer. Change address and VAT in the portal, then come back; Traffic Chart refreshes from Stripe. Banners (read the strongest one) Several banners can appear above the summary. They are not decoration. They change whether the team can spend credits. Billing support required New credit spending is blocked because this account needs manual review. Please contact Traffic Chart support. Do not Spend credit on Demo traffic plan. Do not start another checkout. Email customer@traffic-chart.com. Existing plans remain; new paid work is stuck until support clears the flag. Payment needs attention (grace) This account is in its payment grace period through 4 Sep 2026. Existing data remains available. (the date is your grace end). Status pill: Payment grace period. Data stays. Spending during grace depends on how the account is configured; if Spend credit fails, wait or fix payment in Manage subscription rather than buying a second package. Direct Debit is processing Your subscription and credits are available now. Stripe is processing the payment; no action is needed. We expect confirmation by 28 Aug 2026. This is success with a slow bank. Do not cancel. Do not pay again. Credits are already usable. Payment needs attention (action required) Open the secure Stripe billing portal to complete or repair the payment. — unless Stripe supplied a more specific reason, which replaces that sentence. Manage subscription is on the banner when you can manage a Stripe-sourced subscription. Complete 3-D Secure, update the card, or finish the mandate there. Subscription payment was not completed Existing data remains available, but new paid work is paused. Resolve the payment in Stripe to restore access automatically. Status: Suspended. Manage subscription is the primary action. When Stripe succeeds, access returns; you should not need a second Continue to checkout. If a banner prints a Stripe-supplied reason instead of the default sentence, follow that reason. It is still the same portal. Members do not see this page A Member drawing Demo traffic plan never opens Billing and credits. What they see instead, on the map: - Pool has credits, they are the assigned editor: Spend 1 credit to create new plan? and Spend credit. - Pool empty / no permission to buy: Only an organization owner, administrator, or billing account holder can purchase credits. Ask them to add credits to this workspace. - Billing missing: Billing is not configured for this organization. Ask an organization administrator or Traffic Chart support to configure it. Teach members to ask you, not to enter a personal card on Personal and hope it funds Acme Events. It will not. How this relates to the Paid badge Native organization billing does not always stamp Paid on each unlocked plan. The plan is still funded from the organization account. If a colleague is looking for the badge, ask them to place a sixth sign on Demo traffic plan instead. Personal workspace checkout does use Paid. That is a different Stripe form, documented in Pay or spend a credit. Worked example (Acme Events, Netherlands) Sam is an Owner. Acme Events finally shows Billing. 1. Sam opens Manage Acme Events → Billing. Heading Billing and credits. 2. Billing identity: Full name Sam Jansen, Company name (optional) Acme Events, Invoice email finance@acme-events.test, Contracting country Netherlands. Save. Toast Billing profile saved. 3. Contracting entity reads Traffic Chart B.V. (not GmbH — that is Germany). 4. Choose a package lists the packages sold by B.V. Sam reads credits per year or Unlimited sign placement, per year, Price excludes VAT. Applicable tax is calculated during checkout. If a tile has no figure: Price shown at checkout. 5. Purchasing for a business? reminds Sam to add legal name and VAT on Stripe, not in Full name. 6. Continue to checkout redirects to hosted Stripe. Sam completes payment there. 7. Back on Billing and credits: Available credits shows the pool, Subscription Active, Current period ends 21 Aug 2026. Manage subscription opens the Stripe portal. 8. Alex, a Member, never sees this page. On Demo traffic plan Alex clicks Spend credit when the pool has a credit. The map does not always show Paid. The sixth sign stays. That is success. If step 4 had said No packages are configured for this billing entity yet., Sam would have emailed support instead of inventing a price. If Contracting country had been Germany, Contracting entity would be Traffic Chart GmbH and the package list would be that entity’s catalogue — not B.V.’s. What good looks like Billing is visible. Billing identity is saved. Contracting entity matches Germany → GmbH or otherwise → B.V. Choose a package listed real packages, or a subscription summary is showing Active with Available credits (or Unlimited sign placement). Manage subscription opens the Stripe portal. Members can Spend credit on plans they edit. If you cancelled at period end, the pill reads Cancels at period end and Current period ends still in the future. Work continues until that date. What this page will not do - It will not appear for every organization. No button means no self-serve catalogue. - It will not show packages before Contracting country is saved. - It will not show packages if none are configured for GmbH or B.V. yet. - It will not let you stack a second subscription next to an existing one. - It will not grant Bulk signs, XL, Materials Excel, Displace sign stack, or PDF preview by itself — those are account permissions. Feature not available for my account. - It will not move Demo traffic plan from Personal into Acme Events. Use Move to organization. - In-app Approved after municipal review is still not a legal permit.
